Welcome to HoldAHug. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of holdahug.com (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. About the Service
HoldAHug is a free platform that allows users to send and receive short, pre-recorded video “hugs” intended to provide a moment of comfort and emotional support. The Service does not require account creation, and no fee is charged for its core functionality.
2. Eligibility
By using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old, or that you are using the Service with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian where required by local law.
3. Not a Substitute for Professional Help
HoldAHug is designed to offer a moment of comfort and is not a substitute for professional mental health support, therapy, medical advice, or crisis intervention. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, thoughts of self-harm, or require urgent support, please contact a licensed professional, a crisis helpline, or emergency services in your country immediately.
4. Acceptable Use
When using the Service, you agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, abusive, or harassing purpose
- Attempt to send hug links containing threatening, abusive, sexually explicit, or harmful content or messages
- Attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with the security features of the Service
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access or overload the Service beyond normal personal use
- Misrepresent your identity in a way intended to deceive or harm another person
We reserve the right to restrict, rate-limit, or block access to the Service for any user or IP address found to be violating these Terms.
5. One-Time Hug Links
When you generate a hug link to send to someone else, that link is intended for one-time use by the intended recipient. Once viewed, the link is marked as used and cannot be viewed again. We are not responsible for links that are shared, forwarded, or accessed by someone other than the intended recipient.
6. Intellectual Property
All video content, branding, design, and underlying technology of the Service are the property of HoldAHug or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, redistribute, or create derivative works from the Service’s content without prior written permission.
7. No Warranty
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of uninterrupted availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, error-free, or free of technical issues.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, HoldAHug and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.
